Silver Corbin, a Columbus, Ohio native, is a young woman of much depth and color. Exhibiting an early interest in the arts, she would bring that interest to fruition as she entered into adulthood. Upon her graduation from the high school where she emerged herself in painting, drawing, ceramics and various other forms of art, she graduated and was accepted into The Columbus College of Art and Design where she received The Dean's Scholarship.
Having experienced many difficult and life changing events, Silver found that her passion for literature and the written word was often another satisfying outlet for expression. During her time at CCAD, she began to explore this interest in creative writing which included poetry, short stories and creative non-fiction. Her artwork, as well as her writing is often comprised of somber tones, dark imagery and a deep questioning as she tries to reconcile the tragedies and beauties that simultaneously affect the world around her.
A desire to make peace with tragic events in her life has inspired her to proceed in the writing of a memoir. She is currently working towards a thesis exhibition while pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art as well as a minor in Writing and will have work featured in the upcoming anthology, In The Company of Women, expected to be released in early 2012.
