ButterFae
Half-faerie, half butterfly~but don't blink, because you might not see her flutter by! Her head, arms and legs are hand-sculpted with fimo and painted with gesso and artist-quality acrylics. She contains a wire armature which allows for her torso, arms and legs to be placed in a variety of poses.
Embellished with vibrant hues of magenta and violet, she is representative of the Butterfly--symbolic of life and renewal.

The Water Bearer
The Water Bearer is symbolic of the origin of life; the pouring forth of the waters in which all living things originate. Her serene face, arms and legs are hand-sculpted using fimo and painted with artist-quality acrylics. Her gown is formed from stiffened cheesecloth glazed with acrylics and irridescent sparkle; reminiscent of the foam waves of the ocean ...

Wicked
Don't let the pretty face fool you ... Although quite durable, Wicked is intended as an art piece. She can be displayed standing (in a stand, or propped against a wall/support), sitting (she can be posed in a sitting position unaided, best if her feet are dangling off the edge), or as a wall hanging (has a hook in the back). She will make a wonderful heirloom, lasting for many years to come!

To Colleen McLaughlin, art is to living as breathing is to life.
"I am passionate about words, books, music and Art in all of it's forms. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity of expressing my passion. As a self taught artist, musician, writer and mother, I am inspired by the natural world and all of it's beauty, mystery and power. It is the act of creation itself that I find so awe-inspiring!"

Summer Solstice
A solstice is an astronomical event that happens twice each year when the Sun's apparent position in the sky reaches it's northernmost or southernmost extremes. The name is derived from the Latin sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still) because during solstices, the Sun stands still in declination; that is, the apparent movement of the Sun's path north or south comes to a stop before reversing direction.

Sophia
Known as the Mother of All or simply as Wisdom, Sophia was born of Silence according to the Gnostic creation myths. She gave birth to both Male and Female who together created all the elements of our material world. Sophia's traits include: righteous, wise, loving, communicative, knowledgeable, creative, protective, giving and truthful. A Sophia woman sees it and tells it as it is; she has no fear of the truth.
