As an editor for Chicken Soup for the Soul Publishing, veteran freelancer Carol McAdoo Rehme discovered her personal niche in the inspirational market where more than 1,000 of her stories appear in a variety of anthologies and magazines. She often sets aside her ego to ghostwrite books and corporate publications. In addition, she coauthored five gift books for Publications International Ltd.
Some of her more recent books include: Angels Among Us (2009), Angel Blessings (2009), The Ultimate Christmas (2008), Chicken Soup for the Soul: Empty Nesters (2008), Book of Christmas Virtues (2005). Finding the Pearl will be released in 2011.
Carol graduated from Wichita State University’s school of journalism. She practiced the art of story for fifteen years as a professional storyteller in a five-state area—including schools, camps, libraries, dude ranches, universities, museums, conferences, and corporate events. (Her most unusual setting was a cemetery—putting a new spin on the phrase “captive audience!”) For ten years, she was the Traveling Storyteller for the Loveland Public Library, providing outreach programs to thousands of children each summer.
An award-winning author, she teaches a variety of classes at professional writing and storytelling conferences in addition to judging writing competitions across the country.
You'll be able to read more of this author's work in the upcoming anthology, In The Company of Women, anticipated to be released in early 2012.
