Alicia Winski

Alicia Winski of Seattle has gained an enviable, in-ternational fan base in the online writing communities. Many of these communities have been the paved roads to publication for many writers worldwide, and Alicia has proven she can write and inspire alongside the best of them. To many of her readers, she is known as MsWizard, a moniker quite fitting, indeed, as she has the ability to turn her words into magic and her fans just can't get enough.

Two of her earliest poems, Immortal Kiss,  published by Liquid Imagination (2008, First Edition), and Tattoo You, published by EdgarAllanPoet in 2009, continue to draw fans into seeking more of her works. And Alicia obliges with a unique voice and playful rhymes; only two of the many Winski trademarks fans have grown to expect.

Alicia Winski has a craft that is melodic, honest and oftentimes, quite sultry. Her words encompass strength, courage and a passionate perspective on life and love as seen through the eyes of a poet.

Alicia comes from a long history of writers, so it's no wonder she  has more to offer than simply poetry. Ms Winski also has the ability to impress with her short stories as well her song lyrics. Having a creative outlet to express emotion has helped Alicia sustain and heal through life's many uphill battles and while she admits that many of her musings have been born in times of personal struggle,  she goes on to say,

"I generally like to slide into a pair of sunglasses
and just walk amongst humanity. People WILL
talk if you ask questions, so, like most writers,
I suppose I'd have to say that humanity itself
has been my biggest inspiration and has pro-
vided the fuel for my creative engines. Trite?
Yes, I suppose so,  but true, nevertheless."

In addition to being published in Liquid Imagination and EdgarAllanPoet, Alicia's work has been seen in A Brilliant Record Magazine, TheRightEyedDeer, 5th Edition, and will soon be featured in The Book of Night, an anthology of Poetry & Short Stories. Originally from Los Angeles, she now resides in Seattle where she continues to write and is currently working on the follow-up to her first collection of poetry, Running On Fumes; the second collection tentatively entitled, Naughty Girls Dream in Color. She is also, along with author Apryl Skies, working on two collections of poetry entitled In The Company of Women and The Panty Drawer, both anticipated to be released in early 2012.
